Notizie Italiane
Buongiorno a tutti!
In Italian classes, students receive points (represented by a physical peg!) for showing their learning such as when they participate and have a go in class, when they spontaneously use Italian or notice interesting things about the use of the language.
As announced at last week’s assembly, the Semester One points champions are:
Prep/1 Charlie L, Gabi F, Jacob B, Henry R, Ruhaan P
Year 2 Evie R, Alaina P, Grace E, Alessia S, Sylvie G
3/4C Will N, Jayde L, Maddi N, Oscar C, Will BL,
4/5S Emma S, Oliver R, Jeremy V, Henry B, Maicy G
5/6A Libby D, Violet G, Harry C, Michael T, Max S
Complimenti a tutti! Students collected their prizes in Italian lessons this week.
Our Italian leaders, Violet and Elizabeth, have been doing a fantastico job encouraging the use of the functional phrases they choose for us to practise over the fortnight between assemblies. As has also been announced at last week’s assembly, the new word of the fortnight is related to La settimana dei libri - or Book Week, which we are right in the swing of. So, of course the word for everyone to practise is il libro (the book).
Who will be the winning class for their use of il libro (receiving the ITALIA plate, pictured below)?
A big Grazie to all the classroom teachers for embracing the challenge of reinforcing our Italian functional language while Signorina Liv jetsets around Europe!
Signora Askew has even taken the lead by giving her seniors the opportunity to run the weekly Italian session for our juniors. What lucky students those Prep/1s are!!
Grazie,
Signora Chesterman
