If any parent wishes to provide their feedback through the Department of Education Parent Opinion Survey, you have until the end of August. The link is available in your XUNO News.
Parents and Friends will, once again, be hosting the Father's Day Breakfast on Friday 30th August. Orders can be placed on XUNO. We will be serving Bacon and Egg sandwiches and coffee (for the adults) / Milo (for the kids).
Additionally, the Father's Day stall will run on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th of August at lunchtime. Students are welcome to bring $10 (max) to purchase something special for fathers or special people in their lives.
We are looking for parent helpers that can assist on Wednesday and Thursday lunch times and/or Friday morning with the breakfast. Please let the office know if you are available to assist.
Wow, what an amazing day we had yesterday. We started with the Book Week Parade and concluded with plantings 150 plants and trees around the school. Many thanks to the parent community who created some fantastic costumes or came along to help with the planting of trees.
Last week, we hit the halfway mark of Term 3, which has already been a very busy term. It will continue over the next fortnight with all students at swimming this Friday, 3/4 Art excursion on Thursday, 5/6 Basketball on Friday, STEM excursion the following Monday and Tuesday. All notes and information for these events are on XUNO.
If you are, or know of any families, needing to enrol their child for the 2025 school year, we are taking these enrolments now and are beginning to look at different structures and staffing.
I would like to publicly thank Mr Shuttleworth for stepping into the principal role whilst I was enjoying my time in Canada, and then Canberra Camp. He did an amazing job, but I know he was happy to give me back my spinning chair.
Thanks to those parents and students who have asked about how our trip went. I have shown students a few photos and explained a few of our highlights, including the wildlife sightings, seeing family and friends, our sight-seeing drives and having the opportunity to be an extra on a favourite TV show, Heartland.
