Grade 2 Area

Discovery Afternoon 

Our unit of work this term for discovery was about Indigenous Australians. The grade 2s all learnt information about the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags, Aboriginal symbols, Aboriginal art, Dreamtime stories, NAIDOC week, the Wurundjeri people, Aboriginal tools and Bushtucker. They created a number of different things which supported their learning including books, posters and Aboriginal artwork. These were all shown on the discovery afternoon, alongside their research projects. We would all like to say a big thankyou to all of the parents and special people in the students' lives that came to the discovery afternoon as the kids loved it! What a success!

Talent Show 

In the lead up to the talent show many students from across the three grade 2 classes put together acts of singing, dancing and role play. Over two weeks students had to audition in lunch time in front of judges and many of the students. Students put together fantastic performances that even landed some in the PVNPS Talent show held last week. Overall, it was a fantastic effort by all students who competed. The students who made it to the talent show from Grade 2 were Elouise, Azaria, Rosie and Luisa.
