Stage 2

Once again, it’s hard to believe we are halfway through the term already. 

Stage 2 has been working hard this term and it has been great to see the progress they are making academically.

Thank you to the parents who came to our open classrooms. We hope you enjoyed seeing your child’s work as much as the children loved having you in the classroom. It was wonderful to see the students dressed up as their favourite book character during Book Week.

On Thursday of Week 9, Stage 2 and 3 students are invited to the BVPS Winter Wonderland disco. Entry is $10 and includes a sausage sizzle dinner, popper, 2 glow sticks and a whole lot of dancing fun!! For a gold coin donation, families of students from both stages are invited to join us for the sausage sizzle at 6:00pm. Money raised will go towards the cost of camps in 2025.

• use noun groups in a sentence

Maths

We are learning to:

• use multiplicative strategies to solve problem
• identify the properties of 2D shapes
• measuring the area of 2D shapes

History

We are learning to:

• identify and discuss celebrations and commemorations celebrated in Australia

Geography

We are learning to:

• identify the special natural and human made features of Australia
• how to use a map and find locations on the map such as states and territories
