  Students Last Day 2023

We had the second of our 2024 Foundation student transition days last Friday, where they got to meet some of the other teachers, they will have next year. I had a beautiful moment, hearing the 2023 Foundation students reciting their sounds. What a difference 12 months makes!

Time is flying by. Only a week and a bit until our swimming program is due to begin. Let’s hope the pool is ready for us this year.

Star Students

Foundation: Charlie, for working hard to explain his thinking in Numeracy.

Year 1 & 2 Learning Detective of the week: Eli, for persevering with tasks in maths until he gained a good understanding of the concepts.

Year 3 & 4: Josh, for always following directions in grammar and library.

Reading Awards

Certificates were awarded to the following students on Monday:

175 nights: Don & Chace.

225 nights: Ashton & Tom F.

250 nights: Wally & Tom F.

Next Tuesday Year 5 & 6 students will partake in the Dream Seeds Workshop. The workshop aims to build aspiration, resilience, and connection for rural students leaving primary school, to better prepare them for secondary school and the challenges they face. It aims to show young people that they have the capacity to be the leaders of their own lives, irrespective of their circumstances. The program is focused around three main pillars: aspiration, resilience and connection. Our students will walk to St Josephs for the workshop. Many thanks to the NCLLEN for organising the workshop.

Community Puzzle

We have a Christmas Advent Jigsaw puzzle in the gallery this year. Students are really enjoying completing each days challenge!
