Year 10 Mass 21 November

Fr Peter O’Laughlin came out of retirement on Tuesday to officiate at our Farewell Year 10 Mass. As an Old Boy, he reflected on the day’s gospel in his homily by relating it back to sport and his experiences here at the college. Mr Jack Machin provided the music, singing the Mass of Shalom mass parts, and I thank him for his contribution, as beautiful music such as this lifts these events. He also prepared the Year 9 Band who played ‘I Thank God’ as the Recessional, which seemed very fitting for this mass, as the boys reflected on and prayed for those who had helped them on their journey to this point.

Bethlehem House

On Thursday afternoon our 2024 Service Leaders – Jack, Riley, Josh and Kooper accompanied Mrs Mooney to the Junior College, where with the 2024 Mini Vinnies students and Ms Daun, we started the large job of packing up the donations we have already received into decorated bags for the residents of Bethlehem House.  As you can see the junior college students did an amazing job in their art classes, of decorating the bags to personalise them. A huge thank you to everyone who has already sent in donations. We packed almost 100 bags with a mixture of food, treats, toiletries and a gift for each person.

Please continue to send in items for our Christmas bags for Bethlehem House, we will continue to collect items until the end of this month. All donations are very much appreciated.
