To mark the end of the 2023 school year, the Year 10 and 11 Student Awards Assembly was full of standing-ovations, new awards and the celebration of their many accomplishments!
We gave awards in the following categories:
• Community Awards (Service, Performing Arts, Sport)
• VET Award
• Long Tan Leadership Award
• Future Innovators Award
• Grace Thomas Award
• Most Improved Instrumental Award
• The David Martin Memorial Leadership Award
The key takeaway was Matthew 6: 34 (NIV) ‘Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.’
We are so proud of each of our students and our prayer is that their greatest achievements are found in God!
Please be advised that there are a number of changes to our uniform policy designed to reflect the new Secondary structure.
The first change is to the formal blazer for our older students. Under the new structure, blazers will be optional for Years 7 to 10 and compulsory for Year 11 and 12 students. Similarly, ties will be compulsory during Terms 2 and 3 for Year 11 and 12 boys and not Year 10 boys, from 2024 onwards.
There are a few further alterations to manage winter uniform requirements. If the weather on the Bureau of Meteorology site is predicting 24 degrees or a higher temperature in both Term 2 and 3, then summer uniform may be worn. Furthermore, girls are able to wear stockings or socks with their winter skirts in the winter months.
