Megan Wilson (11 Jenkin)

Megan Wilson has had a magnificent year of netball, which has included co-captaincy of the BFNL 17U Representative Netball Team, vice-captaincy of the Northern Country Region 17U State Titles Team, Castlemaine Football Netball Club 17U Best and Fairest, BFNL Rising Star Nominee, Melbourne University Lightning Development Team and now selection in the inaugural Bendigo Strikers 23 and Under VNL Team.

 

Congratulations, Megan! Your dedication to netball has made all these achievements possible.

Tom Marchant (10 Millward)

Tom Marchant has been announced as one of the recipients of the 2023 John Bell Scholarship. The John Bell Scholarship gives budding performers from regional Australia the opportunity to go to the Bell Shakespeare HQ for an incredible week of development and training. Students will work with Bell Shakespeare artists to receive specialist training, observe rehearsals, watch live theatre and much more.

Henry Allan (9 Jones)

Congratulations to Henry Allan for being nominated for the Bendigo Sportsmen Association's Junior Sports Star of the Year award.

 

Henry, a swimmer, came together with three other athletes to be recognised for a tremendous 12 months in their respective fields.

 

Although Henry was not named as the Sports Star of the Year, we congratulate him on his amazing efforts in being recognised for this prestigious award.

 

 

Blake Bickley (6 Aherne)

On Sunday 3 December, Blake Bickley competed at the National All Styles Australian Karate championships held in Melbourne.

 

Blake won two medals: a bronze medal in Forms/Kata and gold in Continuous Sparring for boys 10 to 11 open belt division. Blake is now Australian Champion in the category!
