BASSLINE Music Workshop
The students from BASSLINE, a low-voiced choir open to all students in Years 7 to 12, were very fortunate to be invited to attend a workshop with Teddy Tahu Rhodes, the renowned baritone singer, on Sunday 3 December. While it is a busy time for our singers, the experience was worthwhile. Teddy was engaging, warm and knowledgeable, and worked on vocal aspects like breath control and sound production as he introduced the students to new repertoire. He also spoke about different ways of telling and selling the story, and it was delightful to see the students’ progress over the course of the day. It was an enriching experience for the students to sing with Teddy and an even better experience for the parents to hear the performance.
