Year 5 visited Glen Eira Secondary College
Last Friday, Year 5 students were invited to observe a Y7 Science Immersion lesson. In this Year 7 Science Immersion Class, students are learning Science in Japanese and English. On the day, Year 7 students, in pairs, presented a simple machine they created to our Year 5s. We also spent some time with a Year 7 English class in their beautiful Library. It was so nice to catch up some former CPS students as well! Glen Eira SC offers Japanese and French immersion programs in addition to mainstream Japanese, French and Hebrew programs.

Congratulations Aya! Aya’s Design on the tram!!
Glenhuntly Tram Depo is 100 years old this year. To celebrate it, they asked local school students to design a tram. We designed a tram during the art lessons and Aya(56A) won the competition. Her design was printed on the 67 tram, near the driver’s window with her name and Caulfield Primary School on. How exciting that we will see the tram with Aya’s design!
Also, I would like to congratulate Kiku(5/6B), her tram design was selected as one of the three finalists.

Athletics Term 3
In Term 3, over forty grade 3-6 students travelled by coach to Albert Park’s, Lakeside Stadium to represent CPS at District Level Athletics. We had a hugely successful day out, with many managing to place in the top 3 of their competitions, receiving ribbons. Six students qualified to Division Level Athletics who have previously been highlighted in our school newsletter. Well done to all students who participated in our CPS House Athletics, Districts, Divisions and State! 😊
CPS Junior Sports Day Term 4
On October 20th, the sun was beaming, and the school grounds were oozing with bright colours and big smiles! Our Junior Sports Day for our Prep – Grade 2 students was a resounding success!
From 9.15am-11.00 the students participated in 9 different events and activities including vortex throw, long jump, sack race, three-legged race, egg & spoon race, tug o war and tunnel ball. The excitement from the children was contagious and passed on to our amazing parent helpers and teachers, who helped ensure our day of sport and fun ran smoothly! After recess, we held running races where 1st – 3rd place in each race received a ribbon. To finish off our first CPS Junior Sports Day, we had a house tug o war challenge, where Ao House came out on top and each house member received a ribbon to congratulate them on their win!
Everyone had a fantastic day, and I think this was clearly captured in the photos attached! 😊 We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!!
Jump Rope for Heart: Skipping Towards Success!
The last six weeks have been a whirlwind of excitement and generosity as our school came together for the Jump Rope for Heart program. Students from every year level enthusiastically took part, showcasing their jumping skills while also raising an incredible amount of money for a worthy cause.
The energy and enthusiasm were palpable as our school community skipped, hopped, and jumped their way towards a common goal. Not only did we have an absolute blast, but we also managed to raise an astounding amount of funds that will go towards supporting heart health initiatives. Our final total summed up to a whopping $7,369! Through teamwork, dedication, and a whole lot of fun, our school has truly made a difference. It's inspiring to see how something as simple as jumping rope can have such a significant impact.
A huge round of applause to every student, teacher, and parent who participated, donated, and supported this fantastic initiative. Your efforts have not only contributed to a healthier future but also showcased the incredible spirit of our school community. Well done, everyone!
