School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports (SWPBS)

How We Are Building a Positive School Culture Together

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe, predictable, and supportive learning environment, our school utilises the SWPBS framework. Each year, our entire staff completes the Self-Assessment Survey (SAS) to measure the health and consistency of our behaviour management systems.

We recently reviewed our latest SAS data, and we are proud to share the results with you:

  • Where We Excelled: 71% of our staff reported that our school-wide behavioural expectations (Respect, Responsibility, Kindness) are clearly defined, explicitly taught, and highly visible across all classrooms. This means your children are getting highly consistent messaging!
  • Our Focus for Growth: The SWPBS Team have been busy supporting our staff and students by making further adjustments to our Expected Behaviour Matrix and creating lesson plans using our core school values.

Our Next Steps: The SWPBS Leadership Team are currently in the process of applying for a 'Bronze Award'. This award recognises schools that have established and consistently applied foundational Tier 1 behavioural practices with fidelity. It celebrates a whole-school culture where expected behaviours are explicitly taught, consistently modelled, and positively acknowledged to improve student wellbeing and academic success.
