Physical Education
Welcome back to Term 3! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break.
A big thank you to Tara for teaching PE over the first two weeks while I was away. It was fantastic to hear how much the students enjoyed the World Cup-themed activities, invasion games and cooperative challenges. Thank you, Tara, for keeping everyone active, engaged and having fun!
This term, students across Foundation to Year 6 are developing their movement skills, teamwork and game sense through a variety of invasion games and cooperative activities. Later in the term, the whole school will
participate in a gymnastics unit, with students building balance, coordination, body control
and confidence through age-appropriate challenges and activities.
Representative Sport
Term 3 also brings exciting representative sporting opportunities, with selected students participating in District Athletics and District Basketball. We wish all participating students the very best and look forward to hearing about their achievements.
How You Can Help at Home
As we prepare for our gymnastics unit, encourage your child to practise balancing, stretching, and safe jumping and landing at home. These simple activities help build coordination, confidence and body control.
