Carlton Road To Respects
Last week, we were excited to welcome Carlton Football club to run their workshop, Carlton Road to Respects with our students in Year 3 - 6.
The navigated a virtual road that took them from the Captains Address through activities about emotions, upstanders, stereotypes and communication.
How did you find the incursion? What did you like about it?
It was pretty good and had some fun games and we learnt about respect.
We were learning ways to control emotions. - Alby Keely Year 3
What did you learn in the incursion?
To not judge people if they have something that you think might not suit them. It’s not about what you want for them, it is about what they want! They taught us about stereotypes, they showed us videos and cards. - Sarah A Year 3
Caught Being Kind
Congratulations to Moss, Leo and Sid, who were our first lucky winners, drawn by Kristie last week! There are plenty more spot prizes to be announced over the coming weeks!
You can join in at home by:
- Starting a family Kindness Challenge (Can everyone complete one kind act each day?)
- Reading books together that encourage conversations about kindness, empathy and inclusion.
- Asking your child, "What was one kind thing you did—or saw someone else do—today?"
