DINOSAUR FUN IN YEAR ONE

Yesterday our Year 1 students took part in an exciting dinosaur incursion run by the Melbourne Museum.

As part of the session, students were able to get up close with real fossils and learn more about the different dinosaurs in the museum’s collection. It was a great hands-on experience that tied in perfectly with our final literacy unit for the term, where we’re learning to read and write about dinosaurs.

We think we might have a few future palaeontologists in the making!

Year 5 and Year 6  - 100 Nights of Reading

A huge congratulations to the Year 5 and Year 6 students listed below who have reached 100 nights of home reading as part of their weekly homework.  This is a wonderful achievement!

Not only is regular reading an important skill to practise in order to form strong study habits and routines; regular reading helps to build vocabulary and knowledge, which assists students in all subject areas at school, along with many important life skills.

We strongly encourage all students to ensure that regular reading at home is part of their routine.
