PBC 2025 Track & Field Carnival – Event Information

The 2025 Track & Field Carnival is just around the corner, launching in Week 1 of Term 3 and continuing into Week 2. With a broad range of athletic events, entertainment, fundraising initiatives and student performances, there is something for everyone to enjoy and be part of.
Event Schedule:
Wednesday 16 July – Before School (7:15am)
Triple Jump and 1500m events (no sign-up required)
Thursday 17 July – Main Carnival Day
100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, Relays, Long Jump and High Jump.
Students attend CARE at 9:00am before proceeding to the oval. Please note: students using the Fosbury Flop must provide written parental permission to Mrs Hart by 3:00pm on Wednesday 16 July.
Monday 21 July
3000m – Before school (7:30am), no sign-up required. Shot Put, Discus and Javelin – Period 4 (sign-up required by Friday 18 July at the Hall Foyer)
Inflatables & Entertainment – Main Carnival Day
A $5 wristband provides unlimited access to inflatable attractions throughout the day.
Possible activities include the Extreme Fun Run, Bubble Soccer, Hungry Hippos and Mechanical Meltdown. Live music will be performed at Trackside Sounds by PBC Music alumni. Please check your emails to ensure QParents consent is completed for participation in inflatables.
Raffle Prizes
Students will receive a raffle ticket for each event they participate in. All entries go into the draw to win Pacific Fair vouchers. Raffle will be drawn at the conclusion of Thursday’s carnival – students must be present to claim a prize.
Food & Fundraising
The Senior Canteen will be open all day. Year 12 students will host a sausage sizzle, offering drinks and donuts. All proceeds will support the Queensland Children’s Hospital Foundation. Both EFTPOS and cash payments will be accepted.
Expectations & Reminders
- Free Dress Day – students are encouraged to wear their house colours (Year 12s have a designated theme).
- Closed footwear is required at all times.
- Thursday is a compulsory school day. Students must attend CARE at 9:00am and remain at school until 3:00pm.
- Early sign-outs will not be accepted via phone or email.
- CARE teachers will check QParents consent lists for inflatables participation.
This is a valuable opportunity for our school community to come together, celebrate house spirit, support a worthy cause, and create lasting memories at one of the most anticipated events on the PBC calendar.
