Executive Principal

Welcome back to Term 3. I hope all our students, staff and families had a refreshing break and are ready for the busy and rewarding term ahead.
PBC is a busy school with a lot happening on any given day. We encourage our students to be at school each and every day. We have noticed a significant drop off in attendance for some students from term 1 to term 2. Whist we understand that illness and family circumstances may occasionally prevent students from attending school, it should be noted that there is a direct correlation of students attending less than 85% of the time and those same students not achieving a “C” standard on their report cards in some subjects.
Term 3 is a significant time in the school year. For our senior students, particularly those in Year 12, the coming weeks are crucial as they move closer to final assessments, external exams and post-school pathways. We are proud of the determination and maturity they continue to show, and our staff remain committed to supporting them every step of the way.
This term is packed with exciting opportunities that highlight the talent, culture and spirit of our school community. We begin with the Track and Field Carnival, followed by key events such as the NAIDOC Assembly, Visual Arts Showcase, Quota Beenleigh Eisteddfod, and the GCSS Sport Cluster Day. These events offer valuable chances for students to participate, express themselves and represent PBC as a “Red”.
We also extend a warm welcome to the new students and families joining us this term. I trust you will find our school to be a place of high expectations, strong support, and genuine belonging.
Thank you once again to our parents and carers for your ongoing partnership and engagement in your child’s learning journey. We look forward to another productive term, working together to ensure every student is inspired to achieve their personal best.
