Senior A Basketball and Netball Teams Off To A Winning Start

Our Senior A Basketball and Netball teams are having an incredible season so far, with both teams currently undefeated and sitting at the top of their divisions.

The Senior A Basketball team has just one round left in their season and are looking strong to finish on a high. They’ve shown great teamwork, focus, and effort in every game, and it’s been fantastic to watch their hard work pay off.

The Senior A Netball team is also leading their division at the halfway point of the season.

The girls have played some great netball, staying consistent and composed each week no matter who they’re up against.

Both of our teams played our local rivals last weekend, Netball playing KRB and Basketball playing Ascham. Kambala convincingly came out on top in both games!

We’re really proud of both teams and can’t wait to see how the rest of the season plays out. Keep it up!

Good luck to Senior A Basketball star Luisa Morphy who is representing CIS in the NSW all school's championships this Thursday 19 June!

NSWCIS Cross Country Championships

Kambala was well represented at the NSWCIS Cross Country Championships at the International Equestrian Centre. It was a challenging course, but the weather was perfect for cross country running. The Senior School girls competed first with Piper Sweeny, Aria Calabro and Olivia Boulton representing IGSA in their respective age groups. Olivia finished 5th in the 13 years 3km and has been announced in the NSWCIS team to compete at the NSW All Schools Championships.

The Junior School girls performed well with Alexia Coburn finishing 8th in the 12 years division. The 10 years team of Emma Kennedy, Lexi Ogane, Francesca Brown and Sage Somerville gave it their all in the 2km teams event with Emma being the best placed runner in 28th place.
