A Night of Maths Fun and Excitement!
What an incredible evening we had at our Amazing Race Maths Night!
It was wonderful to see so many families come together to celebrate our love of mathematics through a series of engaging and thought-provoking challenges.
The Amazing Race provided a fantastic opportunity for students and their families to explore the four key proficiencies of mathematics: fluency, problem-solving, reasoning, and understanding. It was fantastic to witness the excitement and teamwork as families worked together to solve puzzles, tackle number challenges, and apply their mathematical thinking in creative ways.
A huge thank you to Daphne and Allie for their dedication in planning such a fun and interactive evening. Their efforts ensured that every participant had an enriching experience, reinforcing the importance of mathematics in an enjoyable and practical way.
We are also grateful to all the families who attended, especially on such a warm evening, demonstrating their commitment to supporting their children's learning journey.
Colour Run
Looking ahead, we are thrilled to be counting down to one of the most anticipated events of the year – the School Colour Run! This is always a highlight on the school calendar, bringing students, staff, and families together in a vibrant celebration of fun, fitness, and community spirit. The students are buzzing with excitement, and the anticipation is growing as we get closer to the big day.
As part of the fundraising efforts for this event, I made a promise that if we reached a certain fundraising goal, I would volunteer to get "Slimed"—and, thanks to our amazing school community, that target has well and truly been met! At our next assembly, I will be upholding my end of the deal, and I must admit, I am both excited and slightly nervous for what promises to be a very memorable (and messy!) end to the school day.
Money raised through the Colour Run will go directly toward improving our school's play spaces, ensuring that our students have even more opportunities for active play, creativity, and social interaction. These improvements will benefit all students, and we are incredibly grateful for the generosity and enthusiasm of our families in supporting this initiative.
Thank you again to everyone who has contributed to making these events so special. We love seeing our school community come together to celebrate learning, fitness, and fun, and we can't wait for more exciting events in the future!
Warm regards,
