Level 3-6 House Athletics Carnival
Bill Sewart Reserve provided the perfect setting for our Level 3-6 Athletics Carnival on Tuesday, the 4th of March 2025. The warm, sunny conditions set the stage for an action-packed day filled with excitement and impressive performances. We were thrilled to see the outstanding effort and positive attitude displayed by all of our over 400 participating senior students. The competition featured a range of running events, including the 100m, 200m, 80m Hurdles, and 800m, alongside field events such as High Jump, Shot Put, and Long Jump.
After a day of fierce competition and incredible sportsmanship, Terra claimed the title of 2025 House Athletics champions. Congratulations to Team Terra and their House Captains, Oli and Akshara, on a fantastic achievement! (Results are listed below.)
A huge thank you to our amazing parents and RPS staff for their contributions, helping make the event such a success. We also appreciate the RPS staff and parents who took part in the lunchtime relay—your enthusiasm added to the fun! A special shoutout to the Vermont SC students for their support; it was fantastic to see them encouraging our athletes throughout the day.
The results from the carnival will help determine our District Athletics team, who will go on to represent Rangeview in Term 3.
Congratulations to all students who broke school records—an incredible nine new records were set!

Whitehorse Division Swimming
On Monday, the 3rd of March, nine of our Level 4-6 students attended the Whitehorse Division Swimming Carnival at Aquanation. We were extremely proud of their efforts as they competed against some of the best swimmers in the state. These students progressed from our School Carnival through District to Division, demonstrating their dedication and hard work. Many of our swimmers achieved new personal bests and are eager to continue developing their skills ahead of the Rangeview Swimming Carnival in 2026. A special mention goes to Richard Z. from Level 4 for his 3rd place finish in the 50m backstroke and to Oscar Cook for setting a new school record in both Butterfly and Freestyle! A huge thank you to Michelle Cook and Lauren Harbeck for their assistance with driving on the day. Go Rangeview!
Under 14 National Softball Championships!
Congratulations to our Arbor House Captain, Leo L., who is currently in Canberra representing Victoria in the U14 Softball team at the National Finals. This is a fantastic achievement, and we are incredibly proud of his dedication and hard work in reaching this level. We wish Leo and his team the best of luck and look forward to hearing about his experience when he returns!
Hockey Clinics
Yesterday, several of our Level 5 classes had the wonderful opportunity to participate in Hockey clinics generously provided by Hockey Victoria. The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves as they delved into the intricate world of hockey, honing their skills and embracing the excitement of the sport.
Level 6 Camp Coonawarra
Last week, I was very fortunate to attend the Level 6 Camp at Coonawarra in Gippsland along with our 93 wonderful Level 6 students. The students had the best time and set a great example in their behaviour, effort, and positive attitude. The weather was truly amazing and made for perfect pool conditions, the students will come back with memories to last a lifetime. Thank you to all the staff and parent volunteers who contributed to the success of the week.
