Road Safety

This week, our senior students have been continuing to develop their understanding of road and traffic safety. This is a vital part of our BikeEd program and is something we are passionate about at NPS. To coincide with this learning, we would like to provide some additional information for families to support their children in developing road safety awareness.

Key points

  • Until the age of 11-12 years, children need active adult supervision near roads.
  • Help children learn about road safety and pedestrian safety by modelling safe behaviour and teaching children safety skills.
  • Young children are at particular risk in driveways. Always do a visual check before moving vehicles in driveways.
