The P&C usually meet on the first Monday of each month from 5.00pm at the school. Everyone is welcome to come along!

No U-Turns in Front of the School

I am saddened to have to remind people that it is illegal and dangerous to perform a U-turn across the double unbroken lines on the road in front of the School. This includes pulling of the road into the sealed area adjacent to the School to turn across the road and park at the School.

On Tuesday morning there was a potentially very serious incident from 2 vehicles doing both – one vehicle (a delivery truck) was turning from the sealed tarmac area across from the School when another vehicle performed a U-turn directly in front of the truck. This occurred while students were being dropped off at the gate.

Please remember the designated turning bay exists for your children’s safety. Please use it rather than taking a quick shortcut to save a few seconds. The P&C has written to the Council and the Local Traffic Committee to try to clear up the signage to ensure everyone is aware of the situation.

There have been a number of near misses in front of the School, please take care.

Rocky River Street Store

Rocky River P&C have their turn in the Uralla Street Store next week, from Monday 17th to Saturday 22nd March. This is one of our major fundraising events for the year, so we are asking everyone for their help.

We are asking for donations of Raffle prizes, hamper items (small useful things) and people who can spare a little bit of time to help run the stall during the week.

If you can donate items for the raffle or hamper, please take them to the office by this Friday so we can get some signage made up.

If you had any other items to sell, such as plants, unwanted new items, quality second hand items, bric-a-brac, and especially home baking, please bring them to the Street Store during the week. Baking will need to be replenished every couple of days as we do sell A LOT!

If anyone can help spare a couple of hours during the week to help run the stall, please let Anne in the Office know. Erica is putting a roster together, and just remember – MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK! The more people who can help means the less each person needs to be there.

Rocky River P&C AGM

Our P&C will hold our AGM on Monday 7th April, 5.00pm at the School. All positions will be declared vacant and any financial member can stand or vote for an Executive position.

The AGM will be followed by the April General Meeting.

Bulb Fundraiser

Our P&C will be selling bulbs (daffodils, jonquils etc) over the next few weeks! We haven’t done this for some time and we this would be a great opportunity, especially with the Street Store coming up. Rose Miller is providing information on the sale of these bulbs, so please keep a look out.

Easter Assembly

The P&C will again be running an Easter Hunt at the Easter Assembly on Friday 4th April! This is super exciting for all the kids – students and their siblings are invited to join in. The School will ask for numbers closer to the day.

Uniforms

School polo shirts, jumpers and jackets are available through the P&C.  Order forms are available from the school office, the Audiri App and the attachment below.  

We still have some long sleeve shirts available for $10 each in sizes 4, 12, 14, 16 and S.

There are also a large number of pre-loved uniform items available at the school office at $5 per item.
