Principals Message

Congratulations to all the students who have been representing Narrandera High School in multiple sporting activities this term and to those who have been selected in Riverina teams.
The Narrandera High School P&C offers a small grant to students who have been selected in a Riverina team which competes in a state CHS carnival. To apply for the grant, students can collect a form from Mr Chappell (in the PE/TAS staffroom) or from the office and return the form to the office. The application will be discussed at the next P&C meeting. Successful applicants will have the funds transferred to a parent/careers bank account after this meeting.
Students who represent Narrandera High School at a high level in other areas (not just sport) can also apply for this grant. A copy of the form has been included on the P&C page of this newsletter.
This is one of the many ways our dedicated P&C support students at Narrandera High School. I would like to congratulate the newly elected members of the P&C Executive that were voted in at this years AGM
- President – Vicki Hall
- Vice Presidents – Fiona McPherson and Mel Beer
- Secretary – Craig Taylor
- Treasurer – Lee Anne Broad
P&C meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month from 7:30pm in the STEM Centre. All parents/caregivers are welcome. The next meeting is on Tuesday April 8th.
Communication between families and parents is important in all schools. I would like to remind families to
- Contact the school in the morning if a student is leaving school early in the day for a leave pass for an appointment – even if the appointment is in the afternoon. It may be difficult to find the student quickly if they are in a practical class (such as PE) and we do not want to keep parents waiting or for the student to be late to the appointment.
- Only contact staff members using school channels (school phone and email) for school based questions and queries. Please do not contact staff on their private mobile phone unless there is no other option (eg during an excursion and if the matter is urgent).
- Respond on School Bytes for excursions indicating that the student will or will not be attending the excursion.
