‘THE PROTECTORS’

Last week all the school saw the amazing play called ‘The Protectors’. Prior to seeing it Mrs Kelly and Mrs Crossley discussed bullying in their SEL classes to understand what each student might do and whether we were on the right track. The play depicted two students, Leo - a passive victim with a pet lizard, Freddie, and Sarina - the bully.

They are both sent to ‘The Protectors’ school to learn how to change their ways. Leo learnt to become more assertive and believe in himself, and Sarina was taught to be empathetic, breathe and say sorry. It was a fun, informative and interactive play which the student thoroughly enjoyed. We will now continue discussing the information in our SEL classes, so students know how to behave and stand up for themselves.
