Generations in Jazz Highlights
54 students headed to Mt Gambier this year, almost double last year, joining thousands of young musicians from across Australia and New Zealand.
Big Band 1 and Big Band 2 played like absolute champions, powered by so many students who’ve come through the Year 5/6 Band Program. We also took two vocal ensembles and our Emmaus Christian College Choir, who all performed in the true "Emmaus way."
A huge shoutout to Vocal Ensemble 2 for taking 2nd place in Division 4, such an exciting moment.
Special congratulations to Megan (Year 11), who shone in Big Band 1 and earned the Alto Sax 1 chair in the Division 4 Superband. An incredible achievement.
Saturday night brought the powerhouse sound of Tower of Power, and yes… your child’s ears may still be ringing from those insane runs and improvisations. Even the rain couldn’t dampen the fun; if anything, it added to the memories.
Bring on the 40th Generations In Jazz in 2027!
Ziyang enjoyed "Connecting with talented musicians from other schools and participating onstage as part of Stage Band in Division 4.2, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of one of the BEST weekends of my life!"

Mother's Day Morning Tea
The campus was filled with beauty as we celebrated our Junior and Secondary School mothers! Homemade coasters, drawings and cards with delicious morning tea celebrations made for a heartwarming morning. We trust our Mums felt loved. 😍
We are so grateful for the love and sacrifice these ladies demonstrate every day.
Thank you to our parent representatives who organised the food and photo backdrops!
Geography Students explore Port Noarlunga
Our 20 Year 10 Geography students explored the beautiful Port Noarlunga during Week 1 as part of their study on Coastal Landforms and Processes.
Port Noarlunga provides many excellent examples of landforms and coastal management strategies. Students explored Port Noarlunga South lookout, Port Noarlunga beach and Southport Sand Dunes and collected data to be used for Geography assignment.

Animal Behaviour Workshop - Stage 1 Psychology
Our Stage 1 Psychology students recently participated in an engaging Animal Behaviour workshop delivered by Cooper from Adelaide University. The session introduced key concepts around how animals learn, focusing on communication strategies and the role of positive reinforcement in shaping behaviour.
Students worked in pairs to apply these principles in a practical activity, using clickers to reinforce specific behaviours demonstrated by their partners. This hands-on approach helped consolidate their understanding of conditioning in an enjoyable and memorable way.
The interactive workshop encouraged students to ask questions, think critically, and apply their knowledge in new contexts. It also provided valuable insight into potential career pathways in animal care, training, and behavioural science.
