PUBLIC HOLIDAY - LABOUR DAY
We would like to remind families that Monday, 11 March is a Public Holiday. There are no students at school on this day and the office will be closed.
PREP ENROLMENTS 2025
If you have a child you would like to attend BHCS in 2025 for Prep, please contact our Registrar at jdavis@bhcs.vic.edu.au (if you have not submitted an application already). Children attending our 4 year old Kinder program automatically have an application for Prep submitted.
SUN SMART
It is strongly encouraged that students bring a labelled, reusable water bottle to school each day to ensure that they stay sufficiently hydrated.
Students are permitted to take a water bottle in to their classes with them.
Hats are to be worn by primary students during recess and lunch times. SPF 30+ plus broad spectrum, water resistant sunscreen should be applied daily before going outdoors.
Daily temperatures should not be used as a guide to when sun protection is needed. When the temperature is cool, it means there is less infrared radiation, but UV levels can still be high. Students are reminded to be extra cautious.
NAPLAN 2024 - YR 3, 5, 7 & 9
NAPLAN will be held at BHCS from Wednesday 13th to Friday 22nd March. Information for Parents and Carers can be found here. A public demonstration site with what the NAPLAN tests look like for the different year levels can also be found here.
The Naplan timetable and information about withdrawal or exemption was emailed to families of students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 yesterday 28/02/2024. Parents are to email office@bhcs.vic.edu.au regarding withdrawing their child from the NAPLAN tests by Wednesday 6th March.
SCHOOL PHOTO DAYS
School Photo Day will run across several days in 2024. Each photography day includes all class group photos, portrait photos for individual students, and Captains’ photos for applicable students.

Information regarding this has been emailed home to all families. The unique order forms have been distributed to students by their
homeroom teacher.
We strongly encourage all families to carefully read through the information that has been provided via email and Flexischools, so that both parents/carers and students are prepared for the relevant School Photo Days.

2024 SCHOOL FEE ACCOUNTS
The annual school fee statement together with any associated payment plan, has now been sent to each family via email. Should you have any queries regarding your school account, please contact our Finance Office at schoolfees@bhcs.vic.edu.au

SUSTAINABLE SCHOOL SHOP
The Sustainable School Shop (https://www.sustainableschoolshop.com.au/) is an excellent online resource available for families to use to buy and sell second hand uniforms, books, calculators and musical instruments. Families can create an account and view items for sale via this website.
BHCS CANTEEN
PREP – YEAR 6: The canteen is available for lunch orders on Monday, Wednesday & Fridays. Primary students (Prep - Year 6) may pre-order lunch orders via the Flexischools app only. No window service.
YEAR 7 - YEAR 12: Are welcome to order at the Canteen window during recess and lunch
TREETOPS CAFE
The Café will be running every day except Wednesday. Senior students (Year 7 -12) are able to order food from the Café during break times. Only Year 11 & 12 students may use the tables and chairs in the Café.

- Thursday: 12.00pm - 4.00pm
