Safer Internet Day

This year, Safer Internet Day was celebrated on February 6. Safer Internet Day is all about learning how to be safe and look after ourselves on the internet. In Year 6 we made posters based on what we learnt that included tips about how to stay safe online.

Here are some tips we learnt;

  • Create a strong password by including numbers, letters and symbols.
  • Never share your passwords with anyone, not even your best friends.
  • Don't ever meet up with friends you have made online.
  • Make sure you don't click on links that you can't trust.
  • Don't use your device alone in your bedroom.
  • If somebody contacts you that you don't know, tell your parents as soon as it happens,
  • Trust your gut: if anything happens online that makes you feel uneasy, speak to a trusted adult about it.
