Mazenod College ‘Discover Tomorrow’ Career Expo
Friday 19th April 2024, 12.35pm – 3.00pm
The College is holding an event that will give senior students in Years 10, 11 & 12, a unique opportunity to meet with members of the wider community who can give meaningful insights into the complex world of Careers, Employment and Study.
Mazenod Careers Expo 2024 will bring together past students who are currently working or studying, as well as representatives from 35+ Tertiary Education providers from the University and TAFE sectors. There will also be representatives from major recruiters in the public and private sectors.
We are seeking the assistance of parents of our college who run businesses, work for major employers, and would be willing to chat to our students about their own occupations and career journeys.
If you can assist us, please complete the ‘Community Expression of Interest Form’ so that we expand our database of community members who are available for our Mazenod College Careers Expo.
We are seeking approximately 30-40 Old Boys, Parents and Friends of Mazenod College that would be willing to be part of our Career Expo. An allocated table will be provided at the expo for student Q & A.
Complete the Community Expression of Interest Form (by Friday 1st March 2024):
As part of the College Child Safe policy, all adults volunteering at Mazenod College who are likely to have direct contact with students will require a Victorian Working with Children Check (WWC). This is free of charge, however, may take 3 to 6 weeks to process. All volunteers and people working at the College are required to provide details of their WWC when they enter the premises upon sign-in at the college reception.
If you need to obtain a WWC, here is a link to the online application: https://service.vic.gov.au/services/working-with-children
