Junior School – Term 1

Teachers will publish feedback on Astra from the Parent-Teacher Interviews as a Wellbeing Record this term. Parents will receive an Astra notification when this is available for viewing.

Senior School – Term 1

Teachers will grade students' classroom Effort and Dedication six times yearly for most subjects. Most subjects will grade twice in Term 1: Round 1 on 23 February and Round 2 on 22 March. Parents will receive Astra notifications as each subject teacher publishes the grades. For more information on viewing the Effort and Dedication grades and all assessment grades, refer to the information below.

Senior School – Continuous reporting on Astra

For most subjects, each time students undertake any specific assessment task, the subject teacher will provide written feedback on the task and the grade achieved on Astra. Feedback on general progress will be provided online each term, including a summary of your child’s effort and dedication to the subject in general.

Parents receive notifications via Astra. At the end of the year, all parents will receive an online Academic Report, the 'Statement of Results'.

Accessing reports and grades via Astra

Academic Reports

You can access your child’s PDF Report via Astra. The 'Academic Reports' icon is located under your child’s photo, to the right of the Timetable icon. Select this and you will see all the Girton Academic Reports, along with Merit Certificates.

Online Grades view

To view all your child’s grades and feedback, log in to Astra then select the ‘Grades’ tab underneath your child’s photo. There you will see a full overview of any published grades and comments, and can select the relevant subject from the drop-down list. You can also access the published grades by clicking on the notification you receive to go directly to the feedback. For help accessing grades and other helpful hints, select the FAQs icon located on your parent Astra dashboard. Under the sub-heading Parent FAQs, you will find links to instruction pages and helpful video tutorials.

Other reports

Only Girton Grammar Academic Reports are available via the 'Academic Reports' icon. If you want to view other reports (e.g. NAPLAN), you will need to select 'Documents' on your opening page, then click on your child’s name to the right of the screen, and the other reports will appear under the subheading 'Government Reports'.

On Astra, you can also see your child’s timetable, calendar, due work and lots more by selecting your child’s name on the left-hand side of the home page. To return to the Astra home page, click the Astra logo on the top left.
