NEWS & ADMINISTRATION
Mrs Caroline Galea
Dear Parents,
Thank you for your continued support. The children have now begun formal classes and should be well and truly settled into school. Remember we need to all work together to ensure that we are working on the same page.
Tomorrow, Miss Siobhan Kerr (PrepK teacher) is getting married!
We wish Siobhan and Mitch every happiness for their future life together.
A number of parents have noticed that there is someone parking very close to the circular driveway exit (there is now a school board placed there). This makes it very difficult for the cars who are exiting to have a proper line of sight. Please ensure that you do not park there.
Enrolments are now open for Prep 2025. If you or someone you know has a child ready for prep, please encourage them to pick up an enrolment form or attend a school tour.
Car Show
Our car show committee, which is a subsidiary of the P&F, have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that our Car Show is a wonderful success. There will be cars on display, children's activities and food for purchase. The car show will take place on Saturday 16th March between 3:30-7pm.
Thank you to our major sponsor My Agent Real Estate.
As our Car Show is fast approaching, we are requiring help to ensure that our car show goes smoothly. How can you help??
Social Media
It has been brought to our attention that there are a number of children who are on snap chat. Please make sure that you are aware of what your children are saying on social media, as it is very easy to become a keyboard warrior. In other words, we don't want to encourage our children to say things online that they would not normally say to someone directly.
Beanies
This year, the P&F have organised Holy Name beanies. Although you may not be thinking of the winter yet, these beanies are of a good quality and can be purchased through the school office for $25. Please, please make sure that your child's name is clearly placed inside the beanie.
2024 Fees
Thank you to all the wonderful families that have come to the office to organise or begin to pay their 2024 school fees. All fees have been emailed out, so please check your spam folder if you have not received yours.
You can pay by cash, eftpos, credit card in person or by phone, Bpay or you can set up a Direct Debit (see Leanne in the office for a DD form). If you have any queries about your statement, ring the office.
If you have a health care / pension card, and wish to apply for CSEF (Camp, Sport & Excursions Fund) and/or apply for 2024 concessional fees, you need to organise this now please. See Leanne or Vivien (Bursar).
Parent Class Representatives
Each year, we call for parent volunteers to act as Class Representatives who are an important part of our school in assisting us to build a strong community. This is not a difficult role and would suit either a mum or dad. The Role of the Reps is as follows:
RESPONSIBILITIES | SUGGESTIONS |
|
|
There are 11 classes and we are looking for one rep per class. In the past, some classes have had two reps and this has worked particularly well, so if you would like to partner up with another parent in your child's class, please do so.
If you are interested in taking on this role, please see/email Leanne in the office (office@hnpe.catholic.edu.au) by 1 March. We will be in touch with all parents who have volunteered after this date.
MAD DADS GROUP
The MAD dads have their first event on Wednesday 6th March. All dads are welcome to join us for some table tennis and pizza. This is a great opportunity to get to know the other wonderful dads in our community.
Testimonial Requests
Are you willing to write a testimonial about your child's/families experience at Holy Name? We are hoping to celebrate our school community on our website with testimonials.
If you are happy to write a short note please click on the below form.
Many thanks
