School Saving Bonus
As shared with you previously, parents and carers of every child enrolled in a Victorian government school in 2025 will receive the one-off School Saving Bonus $400 support.
From Tuesday 26 November 2024, you will receive an email from the Department of Education with your unique $400 School Saving Bonus code.
The School Saving Bonus will help families cover the cost of uniforms, textbooks, excursions, activities and more.
If you have multiple children enrolled in Victorian government schools for 2025, you will receive one School Saving Bonus code email per child. These emails might arrive on different days. Please make sure to check your spam/junk email folder.
Parents and carers can use the School Saving Bonus code in store at school-nominated suppliers. Parents and carers can also choose to access the School Saving Bonus online system, where they can allocate part or all the $400 bonus to use at school nominated-online suppliers or for school activities. To learn more about the School Saving Bonus, visit School Saving Bonus/vic.gov.au (www.vic.gov.au). A step-by-step user guide will be available on the webpage on 26 November.
If you have not received your School Saving Bonus code via email by Friday 29 November, please contact the Department of Education by
emailing school.saving.bonus@education.vic.gov.au
At this stage, money has not been distributed and we are not able to ‘flag’ these funds for use to purchase uniforms or to pay for camps and excursions. As soon as we receive further information or this function is possible, we will advise the school community via the newsletter or a Compass news feed, depending on timing.
Students Not Returning to WPS in 2025
If your child will not be returning to Woodend PS in 2025 and you have not previously notified the office, could you please email kerry-ann.crosbie@education.vic.gov.au with your child’s name and the school they will be attending in 2025.
As with the Foundation enrolments, it is important we plan the classes for 2025 with correct numbers in each year level. Your assistance is appreciated to let us know of any changes to current student numbers.
Saver Plus Initiative
Saver Plus gives you down-to-earth money talk – and a $500 incentive to build your savings!
You can double your savings. If you reach your savings goal each month for 10 months, ANZ will match it up to $500.

Saver Plus was developed by ANZ and the Brotherhood of St. Laurence and is delivered in partnership with The Smith Family and Berry Street. It is funded by ANZ and Department of Social Services.
- Be 18 years or older
- Have a Health Care or Pensioner Card
- Have a child in school, starting school next year, or be studying yourself
- Get a regular income (you or your partner)
- Agree to join in free online financial education workshops
