Readathon Thank You!
The PFA would like to offer a resounding thank-you to all the bookworms who joined our NPS Readathon back in chilly August.
Your love of reading saw an astounding 856 books read and a combined total of 630 hours spent reading (that’s 26 days!). We loved hearing what you’re enjoying. Classics are still firm favourites with our kids: Roald Dahl; Enid Blyton; the boy wizard—Harry; the irrepressible Anne Shirley. Journals are a popular form: Diary of a Wimpy Kid & Dork Diaries. Some other favourite reads were Anh Do, Ivy & Bean, Runt, Wonder, The Lost Library and Oliver Jeffers’ rogue bunch of crayons.
Your efforts have not gone unnoticed by the greater school and your fundraising has made our new library a more special place with cosy Noomi beanbags, bright ottomans and a proper returns unit (arriving early December) to help keep our books well-cared for and undamaged.
