Movie Night and Talent Quest

Talent Quest winners to be announced at assembly this Friday 6th of December

What a glorious evening our annual ENPS Movie Night was last Friday! Each year we just love to watch the school oval filling up with excited faces, and seeing families and friends enjoying an opportunity to connect as we round out another year.

Congratulations to all raffle and prize winners on the night, and our enormous thanks to everyone involved in planning, providing generous donations, and purchasing tickets to join in the fun! We really have the best community at ENPS, and we truly couldn't run these events without your support. Together we raised an amazing $17,770 for our school!

An extra special shout out to Tanya Ward and our fantastic Community Engagement Team for yet another wonderful event, and to our hardworking ENPS staff for their time to make the night a huge success for all. If you'd like to get on board and be part of our Community Engagement Team in 2025, please contact our school office -  we're always keen to bring our incredible community together, and many hands make light work!

Talent Quest

Congratulations to all our incredible contestants who participated in the 2024 Talent Quest! Each performer exceeded expectations, captivating the audience with their unique talents in music, singing, dancing, Taekwondo, gymnastics, magic, poetry, instrumental performances, and comedy.

Every act was a testament to the courage, creativity, and passion of our students, who poured their hearts into their performances. For many students, this was their very first time performing on a stage in front of a crowd.

Equally moving was the way they were greeted with hugs, cheers, and warm congratulations from their peers as they stepped off the stage. The atmosphere was electric, filled with joy, support, and encouragement. It was truly heart-warming to witness.

When asked how they felt after their performances, the contestants shared words like “PROUD”, “HAPPY”, “EXCITED”, “AMAZING”, and “FUN!”. These sentiments perfectly sum up the spirit of the night. We couldn’t be prouder of our talented ENPS students who showcased their incredible abilities with such passion and dedication.

Winners Announcement

The winners of the 2024 Talent Quest will be revealed at our next school assembly, happening on Friday, the 6th of December. Stay tuned to celebrate their achievements!

Special Thanks to the Team

A huge thank you goes out to our coordinators, judges, and musical/technical leads Sharon McWhinney, Morgan King, Lisa Do, Andrew Nunns, and Darcy Wynd - who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Their weeks of preparation, organization, and support made this event a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.

CaliDance and School Band Performances

We also want to highlight the amazing performances by our CaliDance students and School Band. The CaliDance group energized the crowd with their two vibrant, choreographed routines that had everyone bopping along to the beat. Congratulations CaliDancers! Meanwhile, the school band impressed the audience with their incredible musical talent, showcasing the skills they’ve practised throughout the year. Their debut blew us away with four great songs - Venus, Walking on Sunshine, Can't Get You Out of My Head and I Was Made for Lovin' You. Well done to all band members; Zoe (vocals), Saanvi (vocals/keyboard), Lisa (guitar), Sebastian (guitar), Lac (guitar), Colin (keyboard), Sarah (bass), Oliver (drums/tambourine) and Naufal (drums). If you missed their performance, our School Band will perform at next week's ANSOM End of Year Concert on 9th of December and at our Year Six graduation ceremony.

Staff Band

A special shout out to our 2024 staff band, Yard Duty, featuring Teresa Heale (vocals/tambourine), Kate Barletta (vocals), Morgan King (vocals/drums/keyboard), Lou Ryan (guitar), Adrian Jones (guitar/drums), Rhys McIntosh (guitar) and Connor Smith (bass). Yard Duty treated us to I'm a Believer, Dreams and Can't Stop the Feeling, and their fabulous performance added a unique touch to the night and highlighted the remarkable talents of our teaching staff.

Looking Ahead to 2025

The 2024 Talent Quest was an unforgettable showcase of skill, passion, and creativity. We’re already looking forward to what next year’s event will bring. It was truly heart-warming to be involved in and highlighted how inclusive, diverse and connected our ENPS community is.

Bring on 2025!

Kind Regards,

Sharon McWhinney
