We have had a short yet very busy week this week. Lots of movement around the school, parents in and out setting up and organising Fete boxes, bins, cakes and so much more. Although this will be my first Fitzroy North Fete, the warmth and eagerness of the community coming together is so lovely to see, I genuinely can’t wait to be part of the event and watch the magic come to life.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of the parents who are helping to make this happen, especially the Fete organisers, some of whom appear to have moved into the school! Without their passion and generosity of their time, this wonderful event couldn’t happen.
On Thursday our grade 5 and 6 students participated in the summer Gala Day with other local schools. They had a lovely day playing sports, meeting new friends and hanging out.
A huge congratulations to all of the participants and the teachers for helping out. A big thank you to Ben for organising the event.
For the last two weeks, our Preppies have been participating in the swimming program. I secretly have loved watching them eagerly wear the swim costumes from 8.30 am and proudly show me how organised and ready they are to go. Thank you to all of the parent volunteers and the wonderful Prep teachers, excursions are always exhausting but so important.
I look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday, the weather looks like it could be the perfect day.
