Principal's Message
Dear parents, students and families,
This week we commenced with a Remembrance Day Liturgy on Monday. Our children had the opportunity to learn a bit more about why we commemorate this day and were very respectful throughout our Liturgy.
Foundation Orientation commenced on Tuesday for our Foundation 2025 cohort. I enjoyed visiting them when they were in their class getting to know each other, their school and some of our teachers. It's always a hugely exciting time for the families, incoming students and our school itself. Our Foundation students will return for their second Orientation on Friday 22 November.
Miss Kaleigh McKenzie will marry her fiance Mason Crossley this Saturday. This is our third staff wedding for the year so it certainly has been a year of celebration. We wish Kaleigh and Mason a wonderful day together for their marriage and a blessed life together in the future. She will be on leave from tomorrow and next week and Mrs Ribet, who is well known to the children, will be the class teacher in her absence. Mrs Thomas will also be absent from the 18-26 November has her son Jacob marries his partner Jess. We wish Sally all the best and much joy during this special occasion. Mrs Winduss will be acting DP during this time.
Sunday is our Market Day. Thank you so much to the team working hard behind the scenes to make the day a success. These events just don't happen. Thanks to those who have already offered their help but please be prepared to offer a couple of hours of your time to make the event a success and to share the load. Your children will be the ones to benefit as the money is earmarked for playground improvements once the senior build is completed.
Life can be very hectic as we move towards the end of the year. Mrs Winduss shared a psalm with staff this week and I thought I might share the first line of it with you as perhaps something to give some thought too at this time.
"Lord, You are my safe place. When I feel lost or afraid, remind me that You are always with me. Help me to trust You in every moment".
God bless
