HoL News
Hands on Learning (HoL) has seen some change and growth in the last term. We have welcomed Baz to our team as our co-facilitator, who brings with him a can-do attitude, a calm approach and many pop culture references!
We have made lots of progress in our gardens, installing a bench seat outside the hut as well as starting a bricklaying and paving project in our veggie garden area. We have also been tasked by the school to build locker toppers, which provide us an opportunity to practice our carpentry skills.
We are always enjoying delicious meals and this term we have served up burgers, brownies, muffins, schnitzels, bolognaise and macaroni to name a few! Sometimes we incorporate some fresh veggies from our own veggie garden into our meals!
We have been happy to welcome many new students to the program and are now operating with a large cohort on both days. More people to contribute to tasks and to play games in the afternoon with!
We will be holding a stall at Best Fest, so please drop by to chat with us about the program and to buy a veggie seedling or two!
We look forward to finishing the year as a strong team, proud of our new friendships and what we have achieved in 2024!
