FOODSHARE DONATION
For the month of October our school collected a staggering 493kg of essential non-perishble grocery items to be donated to Foodshare.
Organised by the JSC this was a huge achievement and our school community should be very proud.
Congratulations to class 2B for winning the most amount of donations.
YEAR 5 FLETCHER JONES EXCURSION
On Wednesday the Year 5 students visited Fletcher Jones to learn about local Warrnambool history. The students had the opportunity to walk through the old factory buildings and around the gardens. They learnt many facts about the site (once called Pleasant Hill) and Sir Fletcher Jones himself.
EAL - ART SESSIONS
This week our EAL students were busy designing the look of their hats.
They all had fun and enjoyed the activity.
EAL - HAPPY DIWALI
The end of Term 3, our EAL students made lanterns to celebrate the Moon Festival.
Last week, Diwali was celebrated in many communities in Victoria. Diwali is about celebrating lightness over darkness. Some of our EAL students found the lanterns were great to celebrate Diwali as well.
Last week they learned about Diwali and wished a Happy Diwali to the students and families who celebrate Diwali in our school.
