Year 7 to 9
Hello parents, carers and Year 9 students.
The College wishes to advise parents and carers that due to the large number of grade six students attending on Orientation Day this year, we ask that students in Year 9 (Year 10 2025) work from home on Tuesday 10 December and do not come in to school.
The purpose behind this is to provide greater support to our new students to the College. We feel that large numbers of students may overwhelm them on their "first day" of secondary school. With building works continuing, we have a number of areas at the College that are currently "out of bounds" and believe that it would be safer to have a reduced number of students on the block during this day.
Year 9 (2025 Year 10 students) will have detailed lesson outlines for each class on Compass and students will be expected to complete this work from home. These plans will be available the day prior for download should there be any issues with internet access at home.
Parents/carers, if you are not able to supervise your child at home on this day, please make contact with the College on 9842 2244 or via email middleschool@eastdonsc.vic.edu.au and a coordinator will make contact with you to discuss what arrangements can be made.
We appreciate your support with this matter.

On Monday 18 November I had the pleasure of attending the Australian Maths Competition Victorian State Awards.
Congratulations to Avyaan (7C) and Theo (8C) who both won a prize for exceptional performance on this year’s Junior Division paper. Their results place them in the top 3% of their year and region. Avyaan also received the Best in School award.
It was great to see so many students getting involved in the Maths competitions this year. Congratulations again.

Just a reminder to parents that we are unable to deliver lunches to students during school time. It is the student’s responsibility to come and collect their lunch if it has been dropped off at Reception. Hot food is not suitable to be left at Reception.
PLEASE NOTE: Take-away food is not allowed at the College during school hours. Under no circumstances are students to be ordering take-away food to be delivered to the College.
Please remind all students that they must carry their Student Compass ID/Library/PTV Cards with them at all times.
ALL students must sign in with their card at the Middle School Office when they are arriving late and sign out at the General Office when they are leaving early for any reason.
The cards are also used for any student photocopying that is done at school. The EDSC Student Compass ID/Library card can be used as ID for student PTV (Public Transport Victoria) travel. They are required to carry this card as student identification while travelling on public transport.
If a student loses their card, parents/guardians are able to re-order a replacement card via the Compass parent portal.
