SPORTS NEWS

Tomorrow is our first game in our interschool sports program. We are playing Macleod College at home. Our netball and T-ball teams will be at RPS. Unfortunately, Macleod doesn’t have a football team, so our footy players will have training at school instead. The games begin at 12.15 pm. Children not involved in sporting teams will participate in a tennis program at Macleod Tennis Club. This program begins on 10th May. More information regarding this program will be sent home shortly.

Good Luck to all teams.

Garden Crew News

Our sustainability garden got an irrigation upgrade on last Friday's curriculum day. A bunch of dedicated Garden Crew kids (and their grown ups) came together to install an automatic watering system that will mean our garden stays lush and green on school holidays, weekends and really sunny days. It was a huge day's work, and a huge round of applause goes to those who dug, piped, staked and spiraled.

Our Garden Crew meets in the Sustainability Garden every Friday after school for weeding, planting and composting fun! Everyone is welcome (kids must come with a grownup). To stay in the loop with the most up to date garden crew chat, join our Whatsapp by texting Jackie on 0413 218 761.

PARENT HELPERS NEEDED!!!!

Dear Parents,

As the school gears up for our upcoming cross-country event, we are reaching out to request your assistance to help support with marshalling on the day.

Grades: 3-6

Date: Tuesday 7th May

Time: 8.50 am - 11.00 am

Your role as a parent helper will involve guiding and directing students along the designated course, cheering them on, and ensuring their safety throughout the event. Your presence and support will not only contribute to the success of the cross-country event but will also create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for our young athletes.

If you can assist, please email me at kelli.zealley@education.vic.gov.au I will provide further details closer to the date.   Please note you must have a current Working With Childrens Check.

Thank You
