From the Art Room...

Ms De Stefanis

Term 2

This term in the art room all levels will participate in activities exploring construction. This incorporates the use of various construction techniques, materials and ideas.

For example, the Foundation students are making recycled robots and wooden houses.

The Year 1/2 group are involved in a woodworking incursion next Wednesday, where they  will build a wooden toy on wheels. Following this they will look at cardboard and recycled materials construction.

The Year 3/4 cohort will use wire and foil to make armature for various models, as well as explore paper mache and mixed media construction.

The Year 6 students will partake in an Artist Visit Incursion, where they will be led in a mosaic making legacy project. From here they will then create mixed media sculptures.

Whilst the Year 5 group are also delving into the world on mini mosaics, clock making, mazes and mobiles.

All of this is in preparation for our whole school Art Show happening late in Term 3.

We cannot wait to share all these magnificent pieces with you.
