Can you believe we're already nearly halfway through the school year?! It's not too late to join our Parents Association. We have many exciting fundraising opportunities on the horizon and would love to welcome new members and fresh ideas. No experience is needed—just a current Working with Children's Check. This is not a group where everyone is allocated a specific committee position, opportunities are shared via our WhatsApp group, and you can help out with whatever interests you/works time wise as we know how busy life can get! 

Hopefully you have seen this term we are having a Pizza special lunch on 21st June 2024, so make sure you get your orders in on QKR! so you don’t miss out on some Upwey Pizza deliciousness. Also, for anyone who is free on the day and would like to help distribute the pizzas we still have spots for volunteers and would love to have you - volunteersignup.org/MLXCY

We've just released tickets for our major fundraiser event of the year: ‘Disco Bingo!’ You might be wondering, what is Disco Bingo? Well, instead of the traditional numbers, you'll mark off well-known tunes as you hear them. The night will feature plenty of games and provide a great opportunity to socialise with other parents. We've been blown away by the donations from local businesses, bringing our prize pool and silent auction to over $5,000! It's set to be an unforgettable night, so get your tickets ASAP—once they're sold out, that's it!

Lastly, our weekly Breakfast Club held on a Friday morning is always on the lookout for volunteers! The aim of breakfast club is to promote social cohesion among the students as they share breakfast and conversations before class. It also provides children with a caring human connection and helps to ensure they have adequate nutrition for learning throughout the day. If you think this is something you would like to be a part of and can spare an hour or so on a Friday morning, please get in touch!

Partnering with the Pancake Parlour Schools Program

Our school has recently joined local schools in partnering with the Pancake Parlour to raise funds to support student initiatives. 

The below information is being distributed across participating school networks:
