English

This term in Writing, the students have learnt about information reports. They have learnt how to research information on the internet; including appropriate websites to find information, and how to write notes in dot points. The students then learnt the structure of an information report, and how to write their dot point notes into full sentences. The students have thoroughly enjoyed learning about different animals and countries to write their reports on.

In Reading this term, the students have continued to learn comprehension strategies to help them understand what they are reading. In addition, this term we are reading the novel Demon Dentist by David Walliams. The students have spent time learning how to write notes on the book and summarise chapters.

Cross Country

The year three and four students had a great time completing the cross country course on Friday 10th May. It was fantastic to see each student have a go, and teachers saw some students demonstrate resilience by completing the course; whether they walked or ran. The year 3 and 4 students were also amazing supporters of all other year levels, and a big thank you to the students who completed the course a second time with the junior students.

Mother's Day

The year 3 and 4 teachers thoroughly enjoyed running the photobooth for another year. It was so lovely to see so many women who influence our student's lives come in and celebrate with us. We hope all mothers, step-mothers, aunts, grandmothers and significant women had a very special day.
