Community and Family Engagement
Learning Conversations
It was great so see so many students and their families engaged in rigorous discussions about the progress of learning for their children today and yesterday.
Children learn best when schools and families work in partnership with one another. These conversations are a vital step in ensuring all partners are on the same page about a child's learning and social development. If you have been unable to meet with your child's teacher, please reach out to them directly to make a time.
Parking Restrictions Around Our School
Families are reminded that the areas in front of the school on Farmhouse Boulevard and outside Gate 2 on Redding Rise are 'Kiss and Go' zones. This means the driver is not allowed to exit the vehicle at any time. If you need to buckle your child into their car seat or put their school bags into the car for them, then these areas are not suitable for you to collect your children from.
We have had a number of families issued with infringement notices from the council for this reason. If the driver is seen out of the vehicle by a council officer, a fine will be issued.
Please ensure when using these spaces that children have their bags in the car with them, or that they are placed into the main carriage of the car when leaving school. It is not safe for students to be collecting or putting bags in the boot of a car with other cars driving up behind them.
Thank you for helping to keep our children and community safe around the roads.
