ELC students show coding skills to Mr French!

This week, Principal Rob French visited our Magenta Pre Prep students. 

As Rob observed the children engrossed in play at the block corner, one of the girls eagerly invited him to see their 'Bee Bot' house. 

With infectious enthusiasm, they shared how they programmed the Bee Bot to navigate from the kitchen to the bathroom, proudly showcasing their newfound coding skills.

Their interest in coding blossomed following our recent visit to The HIVE, where Kirsty Watts, Academic Dean of Technology and eLearning, introduced them to the concept of programming robots.

Furthermore, the girls have been utilising the block area to construct houses and mazes for our pet lizard. However, their efforts to engage her have been thwarted since she is currently hibernating!
