 Harmony Day Picnic

This year Aberfeldie Primary School invites all families to celebrate Harmony Week at a picnic on Harmony Day, Thursday 21st March 2024 at 2:30. Harmony Week aims to foster inclusiveness, respect and the idea that people of all different cultures can make a valuable contribution to society.

Our students come from an array of amazing cultures and we would like to celebrate this diversity by encouraging students to wear traditional clothing and to bring some traditional food for the picnic.

If your child prefers, we encourage them to wear orange to signify social communication and meaningful conversations. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

NOMINATIONS FOR SCHOOL COUNCIL

An election is to be conducted for Aberfeldie Primary School Council.

We are calling for nominations for Parent and School employee members. If you wish to self-nominate or nominate someone else, please collect a nomination form from the school office or email aberfeldie.ps@education.vic.gov.au nominations must be logged by 4:00pm on 26/02/2024.

Parents/Carers on school councils provide important viewpoints and have valuable skills and a range of experiences and knowledge that can help inform and shape the direction of the school.

Those parents who become active on a school council find their involvement satisfying and may also find that their children feel a greater sense of belonging.
