It’s potato harvest time and boy have we been pulling out some whoppers! Last year’s Grade 5/6 students planted 2 varieties of potatoes: Purple Congo and Kennebek. While the Purple Congo variety is the size of a Kipfler, the Kennebec have grown humongous, and we all agreed that they are the biggest potatoes we’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, the Kennebec variety aren’t suitable for gnocchi making. They are, however, perfect for making wedges and chips so keep your eyes peeled for some tasty treats at Mini Market!
