Prep Teddy Bears Picnic

Our Preps did everything Teddy on Tuesday 5th December! Teddy bear crowns, teddy bear writing, teddy bear measurement  and a teddy paw Heart Word search in the junior playground. We took our teddies out into the park next to school and had  a Teddy Bears Picnic together, then we got some extra play on the Junior Playground. Such a fun day!

Prep Celebration Morning

It is hard to believe that our Preps have only been at school for one year as they have grown and changed so much! Families joined us to mark this important milestone with  our Prep Celebration morning on Wednesday 13th December. The children were so impressive, demonstrating mature behavior and patience as the Prep teachers spoke about each individual child and Mr Cooper and Mrs Despotellis presented each student with their celebration certificate. The Preps then performed an impressive dance to the song ‘Shine Away’. Well done Preps! We have loved teaching you and look forward to watching you continue to shine next year. Thank you once again to our fabulous parent cohort who have supported us so much this year. And thank you to the Year 5 buddies for helping to make the Prep year and celebration so special.

Year 1 Fun

Last week Year 1s enjoyed a special lunch in the front garden at school.  Throughout the term students learnt about different celebrations around the world looking at the similarities and differences between each and the lunch was a way to celebrate their learning. Yummy pizza, fruit and icy poles were on the menu and the children said it was all delicious!! What a fun afternoon they all had sitting in the beautiful garden with their friends!

As part of the Victorian Government's 'Living Safely with Pets Primary School Program, the Year 1s had a visit from Netta and Bubka the dog. Students learnt how to be safe around dogs and what signs to look for in the dog’s body language, safety steps around angry dogs, how to safely meet and greet a dog and looking after dogs at home. A few students also had the opportunity to safely pat Bubka.  We loved meeting Bubka, the Jack Russell Terrior.
