What a wonderful way to conclude a fabulous year at Caulfield South Primary School with our inaugural End of Year Picnic! We were blessed with excellent weather and families enjoyed a sausage sizzle and food trucks as well as delicious desserts.
As always, events such as this could not run without the help of our parent volunteers and I could not be more grateful to Adele Karmy and the team who put together a wonderful event! Thank you to the team who created the concept for the End Of Year Picnic and worked tirelessly to ensure it was a fun and relaxed event with great food, activities and music. Thank you to the following people for all their help in both organising the event and running it on the day: Adele K, Aviva S, Daelle S, Gabby, Harry S, Jason LG, Ilana, Melinda R, Taryn L, Lana V, Alex S, Zane, Hayley G, Debbie G, Nursya, Alicia W, Alistair D, Brie L, Galit D, Natasha B, Nicole B, Sam, Susanna I, Dima P, Mark, Karina FC, Sara T, Alicia B, Mark B, Cris DL.
I'd also like to thank Stephanie Sim for as always being the most organised, helpful and all-round lovely school representative for the PA. You are always such a help, and always with a smile on your face! We love you Steph!
We would like to thank Baker's Delight Elsternwick for kindly donating all the bread used for the sausage sizzle! We'd also like to thank Team Kids for running activities, and our food trucks: Dough SLingers, The Pita Man and Ormond Ice Creamery.
Our first meeting and AGM for 2024 will be held on Wednesday 21 March 2024 at the School Hall. In this meeting we will be appointing roles for 2024 and sharing the 2024 PA Calendar.
We hope to see some new faces at the PA AGM for 2024!
A reminder that we have a WhatsApp group of volunteering at the school. This is where all volunteering is offered to first, and can range from small duties that can be done at home in your own time (for example making flyers / invitations for events) to helping run events.
We have had a fantastic year in the PA this year with events such as the welcome picnic, Mother's Day and Father's Day breakfasts, the School Disco, Bogan Bingo, the Colour Run and the End of Year Picnic as well as a number of lunches for kids.
These events don't just 'happen', they take some real effort in prior planning and execution on the day, and we could not do it without the help of the wonderful parents at our school. We have worked hard to create a school spirit for our children where they know we have fantastic and fun events every term. These events create life long memories for our kids and are often the highlight of their year. I know for me personally, this is one of the reasons that drew me to Caulfield South Primary School.
This year we had a record number of volunteers across events, and I'd like to see this grow for 2024. My goal for 2024 is to create a school community culture where it is expected that all parents contribute in some way to the PA throughout the year. This can be as extensive as helping out on an event, or it could be helping look after our finances (a role easily done in your own time, from your computer, at home). Many hands make light work, and the more people that contribute to the PA the easier the work gets for all of us and the greater reward for our kids and our school community culture!
