Congratulations to all CSPS participants and supporters of our CSPS team. In what WILL become an annual event at CSPS it was pleasing to hear that Roman Surkis received a personal phone call from Beyond Blue in recognition of his fundraising efforts. Congratulations Roman on completing your first half marathon and well done to all participants in making it such a memorable day.
“The Wellness Run was fun because I had so many people cheering me on and I’m so proud on what place I came and what time I did the run in. I would recommend this run for other CSPS kids next year.” Charlotte (Year 3)
“The Wellness Run was one of the best experiences of my life. I’m proud of how I did and how much work I put into it. I really recommend it for other kids. It felt so rewarding at the finish line. The atmosphere at the end was one of joy!” Marley (Year 5)
“The Wellness Run was a wonderful opportunity to get out and get active. It was great to get involved, not only for an important cause but to join with others in the CSPS community.” Miss Reynolds
“It was tiring. It was very fun. I’m pretty sure I got a stich 4 times. I spilt some water on me while I was running. I got a medal at the finish line.” Asher D (Year 2)
“10km is just two parkruns! Also, as it turns out, I can’t drink water and run at the same time.” Miss Kitchen
“The atmosphere was electric!” Mr O’Grady
“I played ultimate ball. The Gala Day was a great way to end the year for sport. We had two teams that played 5 matches each. The other schools were good competition.” Poppy P (Year 6)
“I played kickball. There was lots of good sportsmanship amongst the teams. It was very competitive. It was fun when some of our team helped another school and played against us.” Olive G (Year 6)
“I played rounders. I thought the teams that we played against were good and challenged us. We won most of our matches although the scores were often close. I think both CSPS rounders teams defeated Lloyd Street which we have found to be difficult opponents during interschool sport.” Addison R (Year 6)
“I was part of the CSPS continuous cricket team. We had a really good time. We played in some good matches. In our last match we defeated Lloyd Street to claim an undefeated day! Nathan S (Year 6)
“It was lots of fun. We tried our best. We beat Lloyd Street. We all took turns to be subs. Isla took many great catches and we scored some awesome touchdowns. Our teamwork was excellent. Sienna B (Year 5)
Well done to these ‘early risers’ who chose to check out the sights of Anglesea for a morning run as part of Year 6 camp. The Rise and Shine run club etiquette of keeping to the left and greeting local runners and walkers with a CSPS ‘GOOD MORNING’ was a great way to start the day.
