Junior School Council News

This year Mrs. Higgins will be co-ordinating JSC.

Many thanks to Mrs. Tainsh and Mrs. Owens for all their wonderful work and contribution in the past.

Elections for reps will be held in classes over the next 2 weeks, with classroom teachers explaining the process and code of conduct and expectations of students who want to be part of the JSC.

Interested students are to present a speech explaining why they want to be a rep to assist their class in choosing their representatives for 2024. Please note that to allow more students to experience the role, students who were in the JSC in 2023 are not eligible to be a rep again in 2024.

The first JSC meeting will be in Week 4, Monday, February 9, at lunchtime in the French room where students will meet, greet and sign their Code of Conduct contract.

Badges will be presented at Assembly at a date to be confirmed and parents and respective families are welcome to attend.

JSC aim to meet again in Week 6 and Week 8 to organise events such as World Vision fundraising and celebrating Harmony day. 

I look forward to meeting our new JSC, seeing them setting exemplary behaviour in the classroom, the yard, and contributing to meetings in fair representation of student ideas discussed in class under teacher guidance.
