REC Message

Beginning of Year Mass
We gather as a faith community to officially kick off our school year! This Mass is a beautiful opportunity to ask for God’s blessing on our young people, skilled helpful adults, and families as we embark on a new journey of learning and discovery together.
Shrove Tuesday
Commonly known as "Pancake Tuesday," this is our last day of celebration before the season of Lent begins. We enjoyed pancakes to symbolise using up rich foods (like eggs and sugar) and to remind us of the joy we find in our community before we enter a time of reflection. Thank you for your donations towards Project Compassion.
Ash Wednesday
Last Wednesday marked the start of Lent, the 40-day preparation for Easter. During our Mass, the young people received ashes on their foreheads in the shape of a cross. This serves as a gentle reminder to "turn back to God" and focus on being our best selves through prayer, fasting, and helping others.
Storytelling Kits
Our classrooms are buzzing with creativity thanks to our new Storytelling Kits! These kits use tactile objects and props to help our younger students bring parables and scripture to life. By "doing" the story rather than just hearing it, our students develop a deeper, more personal connection to the Word of God.
